She graduated from Columbia College, Chicago, with a bachelor’s degree in art and design. She spent the first half of her career as a creative graphic designer and art director. Later, she switched gears to open her own children’s clothing store in Evanston, which she sold in 2010. Mimi joined the practice in 2013.

As our Office Boss, she works tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure our office systems (and team) work smoothly and efficiently.

Mary spent many hours in courtrooms as a social worker before joining the firm in 2017. Using her bachelor’s from the University of Illinois and master’s degree from the University of Iowa, she worked tirelessly in child welfare. She continues to work part-time as a foster- and adoptive-parent trainer and Practicum Administrator for graduate students.

A proud mother of three brilliant children, Mary is also a talented quilter and assists in a quilting shop when she can find the time.

At the firm, Mary is the first stop for all of our real estate purchases and sales smoothly. She collects preliminary information and sets every transaction in motion.

Brendan McNicholas

Closing Administrator

At his core, Brendan is a sports fanatic who lives for soccer and lacrosse. He volunteers with OWLS Lacrosse (Outreach With Lacrosse and Schools) to help Chicago kids succeed on and off the field.

Brendan was drawn to the real estate business early in his career. Learning the ropes at North American Title Insurance, he soon moved to ATA National Title and quickly rose to become an Escrow Closer, working closely with lenders and attorneys.

At our firm, he coordinates all aspects of the closing process. He helps clients with pre-closing questions, closing figures, and making sure all the right bills get paid. He works hard to help make the closing process as easy as possible for clients.

Jake O’Mara

After hours, Jake is the head coach for Little Huskies Wrestling Club, where he helps boys and girls build physical and mental strength and have fun along the way.

An avid wrestler since high school, he honed his sport as he earned his B.A. degree in Political Science at Concordia University Chicago.

Jake’s perseverance is particularly helpful as he helps the firm coordinate with homeowners' associations, procure documents, and manage mortgage payoffs. Once you work with him, you’ll appreciate his dedication and attention to detail.
