Cook County Assessor's website address update
As of Monday, August 18, 2025, the Cook County Assessor's website domain changed to cookcountyassessoril.gov (from cookcountyasserror.com).
The website and pages should automatically redirect to the new cookcountyassessoril.gov page. Note that it's not just the "gov" ending that changed, the new URL now includes "il".
So why did the URL change? We're told the ".gov" domain is only used by U.S. government entities. The new URL should help users verify that it is a government agency.
